But Charles, you did not turn your interpretation into any easily digestible bumper sticker phrase for either Biden or Harris to deploy either.
How would you have boiled down your argument into a soundbite or slogan that would have been an effective defense of the economic record and diversion of blame for any trouble on prices to Trump, and away from Biden and Harris, and set the expectation that Harris would be best for employment and especially prices, and Trump would be likelier to fuck things up, especially on prices.
And how would the Harris campaign wash away the collusion of the Dem House with Trump's overspending/stimulating of the economy.
Inflation wise, there's plenty of blame to go around. The point is that it isn't all, or even mostly on Biden, pathetic though he may be. And Biden (so far) hasn't tried to overthrow the Republic.
Good essay, but just must say that no one tried to "overthrow a fair election with an armed insurrection". By the way, I was a bit upset and offended when they permanently closed off parts of the Pentagon after 9/11. I arrived there for a five year assignment shortly after, and pushed back when I could at any further restrictions. All risk in the USA should be evenly distributed and foreign tourists were once astonished at how one could casually stroll onto the White House lawn.
Congress should NEVER have been closed to the public while it was in session, and if I had still been in DC on 6 Jan, I absolutely would have strolled into the Capitol that day, and it would have been for reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump.
Harris said she would do nothing different from Biden. This was a serious WTF moment for many of her supporters. But Harris did a fine job of picking up the pieces from Biden's complete cognitive meltdown

Trump won because of they/them. Americans are incurably transphobic and I am afraid that this will never change.... wah wah......😜
